I was just amazed of all the computer science is used to get a package from order to ship...I know a lot of people say that computers are putting people out of jobs, but this tour shows young people that is not true. It helped them to understand the jobs might look different, because humans have to be behind all the technology.

Frequently Asked Questions
What will my class see on the tours?
Students can journey inside an Amazon Robotic Fulfillment Center to discover how computer science helps deliver customer orders, head aboard NASA’s Orion spacecraft to learn how Alexa went to the Moon, or enter into an AWS Data Center to uncover “the Cloud”. As students learn how a particular technology works, they also meet the incredible Amazon employees who brought that innovation to life!
How long are the tours?
You’ll need about 45 minutes to take the tour on Kahoot! Students will be guided through the tour and get to compete against each other on embedded trivia questions. Find more info about the tour in the Tour Toolkit.
Are the tours live?
We no longer offer live virtual tours. The Fullfillment Center Tour and all other tours are available on Kahoot! to play at your convenience.
What grade levels can attend?
We recommend Career Tours for grades 3+. See individual tours for grade recommendations.
How much does this cost?
The tours, and all materials included in the accompanying Teacher Toolkit, are provided to teachers at no cost.
What student data is collected?
We do not collect personal student information on either tour. If a teacher does have a Kahoot! accounts, they can assign the tour to their students to track their students’ progress, but individuals’ information is not shared with Amazon.
Can individual students sign up by themselves, independent of a class?
Yes, absolutely. Students can also play the Kahoot! version of the tour on their own. Visit each tour’s respective websites for links to play solo.
